Local-first / Privacy

Your samples stay yours.

Sample Dock is a product by Red Harbor Studios. This guide explains your files, local analysis and this website.

Your audio stays on your machine.

Sample Dock works with the folders you add. It stores its library index locally and leaves your source audio files in their existing locations. Audio analysis and similarity processing run on your PC. Sample Dock does not upload your sample audio.

No beta account.

You do not need to create an account to use the current beta. The VST3 browser reads the same local Sample Dock catalog as the desktop app; it does not contain a separate copy of your samples.

Cloud folders still follow your provider.

If your samples live in OneDrive, Dropbox or another cloud-backed folder, that provider controls file syncing and online-only availability. Sample Dock does not change that relationship. Files must be available locally for preview and analysis.

This website.

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or third-party tracking tools. It has no account system, advertising, embedded social widgets or forms. Fonts and product images are served with the site rather than loaded from third-party services.

This website and the installer download are delivered by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes ordinary request information, such as IP address and browser details, to deliver pages and files and to protect the service from abuse. We have not enabled Cloudflare Web Analytics or any other measurement service. This page will be updated if that changes.

During beta.

The product is still in beta. Review the release notes and known limitations before installation.
